Dr Alistair Adey

BSc (St George's, London 1997) MBBS DRCOG MRCGP

Dr Adey qualified from St George’s Hospital, London in 1997.

He is responsible for the training of GP Registrars. Special interests are minor surgery and joint injections.

Dr Adey is also the Clinical Director of the Rural Alliance PCN.

Dr Julia Dancy

Dr Dancy qualified from Edinburgh University in 2001. She gained experience in hospital medicine and tropical medicine before moving into General Practice in 2009.

Her special interests include women’s health, contraception and menopause. She is the prescribing lead for the practice and the Rural Alliance PCN.

Dr Edward Argent-Belcher

Dr Argent-Belcher qualified from Cambridge University in 2008 and completed his GP training in the North East of England before moving to Cheshire.

Dr Rachel Callely

MBBS (Newcastle 2010), MRCP, MRCGP

Dr Callely graduated from Newcastle University in 2010. She spent a year working in Sydney, Australia after foundation training. She then specialised in hospital medicine before qualifying as a GP.

Her special interests include general medicine and women’s health including the menopause. She is the cancer lead for the practice.

Dr Kathryn Cheong

Salaried GP

BSc MBChB MRCGP Dip BSLM/IBLM

Dr Cheong qualified from Leeds University in 2010 with degrees in both Medicine and Sport Science in relation to Medicine. She gained experience in Paediatrics before starting General Practice in 2015.

Dr Cheong also qualified as a Lifestyle Medicine Doctor in 2021, and her special interests include areas of health such as diet, exercise, sleep and stress management.

Dr Katie Griffiths

GP Registrar - currently on maternity leave.

MBBCH

Dr Griffiths qualified from Cardiff University in 2017 before heading to Chester for her foundation years. She then went straight into GP training also at Chester.

She particularly enjoys dermatology and women’s health.

Nicola Wallace

BSc RGN RHV FP Cert Cert Health Ed Independent Nurse Prescriber

Nicky qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1981 at York School of Nursing, as a Registered Health Visitor in 1991 at NEWI Wrexham and as a Nurse Practitioner in 2005 at the University of Central Lancashire. Her prescribing qualification is from the University of Liverpool in 2005.

Her role is similar to that currently provided by your GP. She is qualified to assess your condition, diagnose, prescribe medicine and refer you for further investigations.

Nicky is also the practice lead for our care homes, patients with a learning disability and also veterans.

Hannah Maciver

BSc RGN RSCN PGD MSc Independent Nurse Prescriber

Hannah trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London. Her qualifications include adult nursing, children’s nursing, a masters in Specialist Practice (GP Nursing), MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and qualified as an Independent Nurse Prescriber.

As well as primary care she also loves pre-hospital medicine and works at many sporting events as a medic plus she is an active member of North East Wales Search & Rescue (NEWSAR) team on call 24/7 (when not working!).

Her role is similar to that currently provided by your GP. She is qualified to assess your condition, diagnose, prescribe medicine and refer you for further investigations.

Hannah is also our safeguarding lead and leads the practice nursing team.

Pharmacy Team

Beth Hughes - Clinical Pharmacist

MPharm

Beth graduated from Nottingham University in 2005, and completed Pre-registration training at Nottingham City Hospital qualifying as a Pharmacist in 2006. She has over 18 years experience in Community Pharmacy, and has managed the pharmacy in Tarporley for the last 11 years. She joins the medicines management team in the practice and will support with advice for patients and other medicine related work including patient and medication reviews.

Sarah Jones - Pharmacy Technician

Sarah has many years experience working within community pharmacy and has joined the practice to support our Clinical Pharmacist and the practice team as a whole. She will help to provide advice and information to the practice and patients to support the improvement of prescribing safety, quality, cost-effectiveness and the appropriate use of medicines to get the best outcomes for patients.

She is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain, and has been qualified and practicing since April 2022.

Liz - Medicines Manager

Liz has worked at the Practice for 17 years, initially for 12 years in Reception before taking on the role of Medicines Manager.

Her main role is to support the Reception team and the Pharmacists in providing the best care for patients from a medication perspective.

Special interest in long term health conditions including asthma, COPD and diabetes.

Also sees patients for immunisations, smears, travel health and wound care.

Qualified at Royal Stoke Hospital. Over 30 years experience of nursing within vascular surgery, intensive care, high dependency, the community as a Community Nurse and within a local charity run community hospital.

Special interest and extensive experience within tissue viability and wound care.

Our Healthcare Assistant sees patients for chronic annual reviews, NHS health checks, BP checks, flu and pneumonia vaccinations, ECGs, wound dressings and B12 injections.

Tel 01606 555191 - This District Nursing Service is provided by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP). District Nurses provide professional care to meet the needs of the housebound or when there is a nursing need that makes a home visit appropriate. District Nursing provides care 7 days a week, including an evening and night service, however, they are not an emergency service and all their calls are prioritised according to need.
